The general public is most familiar with the White Persian cat which is used in many advertising campaigns for its sheer beauty and elegance. But for show purposes, the breed is divided up into seven groups. These are:

  • Silver & Golden Group
  • Solid Colour Group
  • Tabby Group
  • Shaded & Smokey Group
  • Bicolour Group
  • Himalayan Group
  • Part colour Division


Kittens are usually available from breeders between the ages of 12 and 16 weeks old, at which time they have had their basic vaccinations and are able to adapt to a new environment.
