The tail is important and should of a size in proportion to the body. In Wedgehead cats, the profile should be obviously wedge shaped, not round nor pointed. The eyes have to be a clear and brilliant blue with an intelligent and wide-awake alertness in the eye.
Head: Long and well proportioned, there should be a good width between the ears, narrowing-in perfectly to a fine muzzle. The profile should be straight, with a good chin and level bite.
Ears: These should be long and pricked, widest at the base, and placed on the head so as to follow the lines of the shape of the head.
Eyes: Oriental shape with slanting towards the nose, but with width between. They should not be deep-set into the head. The haw (inner eyelid) should not cover more than the corner of the eye.
Body & Legs: Medium in size, the body should be long and svelte, legs proportionately slim; the back legs higher than the front legs, feet should be small and oval. The body, legs and feet should be in the correct proportion, giving the whole cat a well balanced overall appearance.
Tail: Long and tapering with no kinks or bends.
Points: Face and nose area (mask), ears, feet and tail should have dense and clearly defined colour, matching in basic colour on all points, showing clear contrast between points and body colour. Mask complete and (except in kittens) connected by whisps of the contrasting colour with the ears.
Coat: Very short and fine in texture, glossy and close to the skin. Colours as per individual colour standards, any shading to appear on back and sides. The cat's shirt front (bib), belly and chest should be pale coloured.
