Cats Only Want You For Food - Not Loyal Like Dogs

I cant understand all these people caring so much about cats.
We had a cat and he seemed to only come home for food, then he was off again on his travels.
Dogs are much more faithful and beat cats any day.

You are all nuts.

How sad to see this post. You are completely wrong, cats are extremely loyal and loving and in my experience much more loyal than dogs.

I guess it boils down to whether you are a cat or a dog person. And any animal if it senses it is not loved with only treat your home like an hotel. Which sounds what your poor cat did.

We have both cats and dogs so are familiar with each. And I have to say that each animal has its own personality as well - maybe you just did not spend the time getting to know your cat ?

Since this site is dedicated to those who like cats - you may be better to look for a forum where they prefer dogs.

Regards

You have obviously never taken the time to get to know your cat.
They are much better than dogs.

Our Siamese cat is as loyal and trusting as a dog, but less than a third the work. Everyone loves her (even the two dogs) but she always manages to find a way to get her own way !

The original poster obviously has never met our Gemma

Two of the above posters have just confirmed my view of cat owners who allow their cats to roam and that is that they are lazy irresponsible people.

Allow me to quote "Cats are MUCH more independent than dogs IMHO which is great for those of us who have to go out and work." Quote "less than a third of the work" yes of course they are, to you! that's because your long suffering neighbours have to put up with them fouling their gardens, destroying plants, damaging property ie. fences etc.

If your cat doesn't use a litter tray either in your home or garden where do you think it goes when it has to answer a call of nature, I'll tell you, it's your long suffering neighbours flower beds. People like you make me sick. All you have to do is give it some food then open the door and let it wander all over the neighbourhood. I'll bet if one of your neighbours started to feed it better than you, then you would most likely never see it again, well apart from when it leaves a little message in your garden!!! Cats are loyal don't make me laugh!
