In my visitings to the other country i see cat who has tails cut off. I do not understand the meaning of this or what benefits it gives to the cat? Can a person explain this for me please?
I know of the Manx cat in the islands on coast in UK who has no tail but this is not something someone does to them it is in their hereditity I believes.
Can someone answer this question thank you? Herman

Re: Cutting Cats Tails Off - Why ?
You are right Herman - it used to be popular to 'dock' cats tails, the same as it was with horses.
And again, yes, the Manx cat breed only has a stump, but that is part of their genetics and not caused by man cutting the tail off.
I am so glad this barbaric and cruel practice has stopped.
