My cat had four first time and five the second time:) I think it depends... :)

The answer is to get your pet neutered at six months, or even slightly before.
If you cannot afford to, then some animal charities will help with the cost.
It is kinder to your cat and much kinder to prevent unwanted births than to know the kittens are going to lead miserable horrific lives in some cases.
