Light Fluffy Hair On Carpets

Our cats are both long haired and seem to be shedding their coats all the time.
The furniture in the living room is dralon (a kind of fluffy felt) and the spots where they usually curl up and sleep get covered in those very fine white undercoat hairs.
I tried vacuuming it off, it does not work. I tried brushing it off. That does not work either.
Anyone any tips please - it's driving me crazy !

I know just how you feel I had that problem too. It was on the fitted carpets, and caked on the sofa.
The answer is simple - put on your rubber gloves, the ones you use for washing up dishes. Make them damp, but not dripping. Then rub your hands and fingers over the parts with the fine hairs sticking to it. If you rub in a circle it makes the fur go into a ball, and it is then easy to vacuum it up.
As to the carpets, I started using a spray of water on each piece of carpet as I did not want to crawl over the whole floor with my gloves. You know those sprays you can get in the garden centre - misters? They are very cheap and I use one for the ironing too.
Well I have one now for misting the carpet before vacuuming and it works like a treat. Hope it works for you too.

You can get a very hand roller now which picks up fluffy hair too, I think it is sold primarily for getting fluff of your clothes, but works equally well on carpets.
The roller is a sticky blue and you wash it under running water to get the fluff off, then use it again.
It is brilliant ! I would not be without mine - our cats shed their coat too so it is perfect for cats.

I got one of those blue wheel things you wash after picking up the fluff off the carpet from a car boot sale - for 50p. Works brilliantly.
