Neutering - to website owners

It is natural for animals to breed and not letting them to have kittens is against nature. And your articles about neutering makes no sense.
Not going to neuter my cat for any money. Sorry.

It is also natural for cats to catch various fatal illnesses, and you would not want that for your cat would you? Cats do not 'need' to breed. Females who are spayed and do not breed live longer.
They also have other outlets for their motherly instincts, like grooming fellow cats, or carrying around their favourite toy in their mouth and mothering it, along with being super friendly to humans.

You're wrong. There are very sound reasons for having your cat neutered. There are millions of healthy cats destroyed each year because of a vast over-population. Why would you want to add to the growing number of sick, starving and stray cats whose lives are miserable from the beginning to the end? That seems inhumane and selfish to me. Add to this the number of cats who 'wander' when in heat, and it is a recipe for disaster not to get them spayed

I have no problem with sterilising a cat to prevent unwanted kittens but I do object to neutering. I really do not think that we have the right to remove any creature's gender. Neutered cats sleep all the time!!! It changes a cat's behaiviour from what it should be (just to make or lives easier). We wouldn't neuter a human?!
Why not just sterilise them so they can carry on being female and male cats but just not have kittens!

All you people who think neutering is wrong - go to places like Thailand, Belize and yes, even Italy and Spain.

There you will see a HUGE overpopulation of sick, starving and dying cats.

Not a pretty site for cat lovers.

One place in southern Spain, the local authorities put down rat poison just before the peak tourist season which guarantees these poor starving sick creatures a horrible end.

So keep your bleeding hearts to yourself until you have seen what happens to those who are not neutered.

I never heard such ridiculous arguments.
