No Meow

My two 3 month old half Siamese kittens came from the shelter. They can hear, know their names, and seem most content in our cat friendly home. Problem, they do not meow. I heard an almost mew from one, I think. When wrestling gets too rough, they may yep, or make a yeow, but no meows??? A previous part Siamese talked very much. Could my kittens be mute?? Is this common?
