Siamese Cats

I remember having a gorgeous Siamese cat when I was younger, but when I looked at so called Siamese cats recently online, they seem much skinnier, with almost bat type wing ears.

Our old Siamese was nothing like that. She had quite a big head with HUGE
blue eyes.

I wonder if that breed is now extinct?

I remember reading that the old style Siamese are called apples or something similar.
The newer breed are the emaciated ones with tiny heads and big ears.
I prefer the older ones too - there is bound to be information on this site about this breed, click the green tab above which says "Cat Breeds" and check it out.
If you cant find what you want, contact the site owner, he is very helpful.

PS I love those blue eyes - ours was a chocolate point, stunning !!!!

We had a sealpoint Siamese (the old style) when I lived in Bahrain. She was the most beautiful and intelligent cat I ever had.

Those crystal blue eyes are mesmerizing.

We found her a new home when we had to leave to go back home and she is still with that owner, being treated like the princess she really is.

I read somewhere there is a Royal connection to Siamese cats, anyone know anything about that ?

Sheba had a nose coloured like she had dipped her face in a pot of milk chocolate powder. The rest of her was a silky light beige colour. And she regularly chatted with everyone. What a character!

Thanks to Erica, we've got a set of articles about Siamese cats

We have one of the old type Siamese cats, with the biggish normal head and the most mesmerising eyes - she is adorable.

She was a rescue cat so if you want one of these but cant afford, it check to see if there is a special Siamese Rescue centre near you. Often there are. And if not, then rescued cats like this will go to a normal rescue shelter too.

Well worth looking. We did and we have had her for 13 years now.
